The Yorkshire, England one is beautiful...it seems a waste not to do something with it. I'm curious why some of them seem so well lit, but yet deserted.

Lolli.

It looks like the Yorkshire, England "tunnel" has a sky light.
I believe they have tours in some of the tunnels too
so that could explain the lighting.
