awesome. Open vst effects have saved me more than a few times. I wish audacity rendered the interfaces better, but even without them, there are some really useful vst tools out there

Reaper (Non Expiring Shareware) is great for vst effects and playing the guitar live through.....Also the last freeware version of Maize Studio (Now Time Limited Shareware) is good.
For the money Acoustica Mixcraft is excellent.
