Cradle-to-grave free health care, free education, paid maternity leave, sexual and religious tolerance, free speech, peace and democracy?....what are they so dang happy about those Danes, I wonder? .

Just remember, they have a 37 hour work week and a 50% tax rate -- so if you just figured your taxes-- did you pay 50%? With social security and medicare figured into my tax rate, I paid 15% in the USA. I added the social secuirty and medicare to my tax bill and then divided by my taxable income, I paid 15%. Yes, the Danish have the best European life on the happiness scale, but I'm not unhappy with my USA life. "Grass is always greener ....

Yeah, I know a Dane (for decades) and he's just so full of himself! Happy and smiling all the time and yucky stuff like that. Ha ha! Who do you think gave me this link? *LOL*

i would rather pay higher taxes, have so many different things paid for, and feel the government was actually looking out for my wellbeing than a lot of the things that go on here.
