Delving into the curious world of religious relics. I've read that if all the "pieces" of the cross were combined it would be enormous. It would be too easy to use the above clip in a similar joke.

Indeed you did. For those readers who are scratching their heads they might be illuminated by this short Wiki excursion.

Good question! The only instance I see in the Bible about what they did with the foreskin after circumcision of Jew was when Tziporra( Moses' wife) threw it at her husband.
Not that Jesus' could have survived this long, nor would it have even been kept for any reason at the time of His childhood.
Personally, I think "holy relics" are a load of crap, although I am a Christian.

Actually, the article that this clip came from goes much further into the missing foreskin problem. If you're interested you might take a look. The fact that Jesus' foreskin is not mentioned in the bible is irrelevant. Pope Clement VII (1523-1534) thought enough of the existence of the holy relic that he offered indulgences to anyone who made a pilgrimage to France to view the holy snippet.

Making a discarded piece of 2,000+ years penis a holy relic. And they call us pagans the ones with the weird habits.

An old religion-themed issue of the National Lampoon from the '70s featured a parody of a Renaissance-era religious painting titled, "The Ascension of the Foreskin of Our Blessed Lord Into Heaven". I'm not sure what the original they spoofed, but I know it wasn't Garofalo's.

It was either "Religion for Fun And Prophet", June '71 New Sacrileges or "The Judeo-Christian Tradition", December '74, Surprise Icon #CVIX.
