3 Facts that could change the outcome of this Election...How can you change an outcome that has not yet happened? 1)-Over 70% of our National Debt was created by just 3 Republican presidents. This displays an ignorance about what the National Debt is, which is comprised in large part of entitlements to a growing baby-boomer constituency and the ever-increasing entitlements due to a growing US population. Also, 5 of the last 7 presidential terms have been occupied by Republicans, which is 72% of the time. So, why would it be odd that 70% of the debt came due under Republican presidencies. The Republican presidents, with the exception of W. Bush, were not p... Got you worried didn't it... The fact is Bush and the Republicans doubled the national debt over these 7 1/2 years to compensate for their immoral tax breaks for the top .07%...and top 1%.. That is total crap! You don't know what you are talking about. Jimminy cripes! I don't..? You must be kidding the Bush tax cuts are a total failure and any tax cuts while at war are insane he's bankrupting our nation Bush and the Republicans... He's been a total disaster that will take us 20 years to recover from if ever... Borrow and spend Republicans... Separate from anything else you mentioned and solely about the Bush tax cuts, are you aware that they have spurred record revenue to the Treasury for several years now? Record revenue! Now , there is a lot about Bush I am sure we can agree on, but to say he is bankrupting the Nation is just utter and profound ignorance. Also, the one area that I think there is little doubt about Bush's success is regarding the economy, without regard to the lunatic left. Never, have there been as many body-blows to a nation's economy than in the last 8 years. Bush was not responsible for those body blows. They have been a long time coming and the fact that we are not in the midst of some catastrophic depression is quite remarkable. Profound ignorance that's me alright.. The Bush Tax Cuts have been a failure... 70% of our debt was all accumulated under Republican Presidents that's not some new statistic..it's quite true..and it's not due to entitlements it's due to their trade practices and huge waste in Military spending..mostly trade.. Bush could have created an economic boom had he given us a tax cut for the middle class and working class as did JFK when he did it..his tax cuts favored the top 1% and really top .07%.. This year alone there is $295 Billion dollars of waste in the Pentagon budget in overruns and over charges 4 X's any other administration... There have been record revenues to the US Treasury. TJColatrella, I don't understand your point either. Are you saying that the figure of 295 billion "waste" at the Pentagon is somehow significant? Because it is not significant at all in the figure of our National Debt. There seems to be something wrong when you say that Bush tax cuts have been a failure when they have created record revenues to the US Treasury. Do you know what the the National Debt is? It does not sound like you do. I said the National Debt is most due to Trade but also that Bush has bankrupted the nation the waste for this year alone at the Pentagon was just an example $295 billion.. The Republicans have borrowed us in this mess over $9 Trillion Debt which Bush is responsible for nearly half.. Revenues are not up they tell you that but up to them it less of a deficit than expected, so they say revenues are up.. The Bush Tax cuts did not stimulate the economy that's why we're in recession and were headed this way for some time also they were using the housing values to say the economy was up but if you subtracted that balloon things have been bad for quite some time.... The National Debt is $9.4 Trillion... The Budget is in deficit spending... The cost of the Iraq war is still off budget, none of it paid yet all borrowed..that's why the dollar is sinking.. 70% of our National Debt was created by 3 Republican Presidents that's a fact...not Democrats.. Whatever you say, dude. $295 billion here, $295 billion there, add it all up and before you know it you're talking about some real money. Yes, $9 trillion is a whole lot more, but who gives a rats ass about $295 billion? Only a die-hard looney can say it doesn't matter. Well, believe me, there is nothing I love more than lunatic leftists extolling the virtues of financial responsibility, but there is some serious self-delusion goin' on 'round here. |
