Ini explains that he wants
to make the orchestrated effort appear to be the work of unaffiliated
individuals. Thus he advises that "There is no need to advertise the
fact that we have these group discussions."

To further conceal the
identity of CAMERA-organized editors, Ini warns, "don't forget to
always log in before making [edits]. If you make changes while not
logged in, Wikipedia will record your computer's IP address" -- a
number that allows identification of the location of a computer
connected to the Internet.


The emphasis on secrecy is apparently not only to aid the undetected
editing of articles, but also to facilitate CAMERA's takeover of key
administrator positions in Wikipedia.

Zeq suggests making
deliberately provocative edits to Palestine-related articles. He hopes
that editors he assumes are Palestinian will delete these changes, and
then CAMERA operatives could report them to administrators so they
could be sanctioned and have their editing privileges suspended.

As some of my friends on Clipmarks know, I publish an online magazine of interest to the Jewish community and its friends. I support Israel's right to exist in peace with its neighbours, and support their right to self defense. I do not see eye-to-eye with the Israeli government on their treatment of the Palestinians, the settlements, the wall and the occupation. But I do support Israel as a sovereign nation that should be accepted and be unmolested by its neighbours.

My point is that even though I spend over 50 hours a week working on promoting Jewish life on the Web, without any remuneration, but strictly as a labour of love, whenever I voice even the most moderate criticism of any action by the Israeli government, I am accused by some people of being anti-Semitic and anti-Israel.

The right-wing groups should be ashamed of what they do in the name of supporting Israel. All they are really accomplishing is delaying any kind of possibility for peace, by perpetuating intolerance and hatred.
