Beryl is something that has made me want to switch to Linux from Windows. Beryl turns your desktop into a visual masterpiece. Beryl puts your desktops in a cube and allows you to rotate the cube with your mouse. Another feature of Beryl is a theme manager your windows called Emerald. You can stretch windows with Beryl. There are more window effects and I could sit here and try to write about them. However, Beryl is something that needs to be seen. Right now I have a Windows Vista theme on my Linux desktop. I have to ask the question, will the Beryl app on Linux give Windows Vista a run for its money visually? I tend to think it will. I am kind of new to Linux but I believe Beryl is still being perfected. When its finished, I think Linux will be much more visually appealing than Windows.
