I can see how this would be a good thing for the mothers, but I can also see how this would be extremely controversial. But I think pregnant teens do need support, whether or not we agree with the life choices that they have made.

Indeed. If you encourage kids to have kids (by among other things teaching abstinence only sex ed) then you also have to deal with the consequences. Mothers need the support because the children will need it as well. Better have the mom graduate and have an education than non at all. Better for them, their children and all of us.
