Joking aside, you really need to give these companies immunity. They were acting in what they believed were the best interests of the nation at the time. They do not deserve to be dragged into the middle of a political fight. If the Dems believe wrongs were committed, let them go after the proper governmental targets. The phone companies are being targeted only because they can be taken on with a minimal amount of effort. This is Grandstanding 101.

Unlike the left, I believe in fair play, if a Republican breaks the law he should face the consequences, but it should be reciprocal. The left believe in punishment IF the offender happens to be a conservative, they are very forgiving of their own.
