This is both cute and disturbing, although I admit, I know mastiffs are pretty gentle dogs. But still, I would cringe if those were my dog and my kid!

Dogs are pack animals and highly hierarchical, prone to demonstrations of dominance/submissiveness. A child may well be seen as a pup and object to be dominated. Still in this case, I doubt any actual harm was done. The pup seems to be doing his job well. Baby will be loved!

A 200lb dog and a 20lb baby. Somehow I dont think I would be comfortable with such a big dog around such a small child.
