They're better without bacon--much healthier for you and for the pig! This one sounds good, I've got some really old family recipes that are really good. I like them better with just the potato and clarified butter. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarified_butter I also don't add egg to the dough, and mash the potato's without milk always! So, it's pretty healthy except for the butter. I couldn't believe it when I saw this clip - my son and I were just discussing having perogies for dinner tonight! We only have a box of the Mrs. T's frozen kind on hand, but even those are yummy! I used to love perogies. Okay, you got me curious. Why the past tense? |
