I clipped this because he makes some valid points. Personally I don't believe in labels. I do lean left, but on a few issues I go right.

Actually "Conversatives", by which I'm guessing the author means present day Republicans supported the Union and it was the Democrats that attempted to divide the nation. It was Republicans that supported rights for minorities.

I'm not labeling anyone. If you didn't know I'm somewhat of a liberal myself (emphasis on the somewhat).

It's quite hypocritical on your side to claim I'm labeling people with the article itself being extremely polarising and reinforcing the "labels" you speak of.

The article is nothing more than "I'm better than you" rant!

"conservatives" "Republicans" "Democrats" are labels to me. I meant no offense. There are inaccuracies in the article. I just thought that a few of his points were interesting.
I apologize if I gave you the wrong impression.
