invictus says: Most experts estimate that Israel has between 100 and 200 nuclear warheads, largely based on information leaked to the Sunday Times newspaper in the 1980s by Mordechai Vanunu, a former worker at the country's Dimona nuclear reactor. I can't believe this! The war never stops, and religion right now is not helping the mix! Seriously Palestinians and Jews are cousins due Abraham's impatient behavior and both groups of people admit to being descendants of Abraham! these nukes, the camps, the withholding of food, supplies and utilities to a bunch of cheated, lost people is the worst humanitarian crisis due to WW2(and all it's mess), Holocaust..... and the U.N.. It's messed up in that the U.N., Who has individuals in the E.U. etc. were once imperial powers who are responsible for all of this in the first place. It's amazing how the past catches up with the future so quickly! Invictus... listening to an old men with more than questionable brain capabilities isn't factual to make a statement like you did. You should backup your title with 'according to Carter', doesn't for a second mean it's true. Everyone has known for ages that Israel has nukes, that's no news. If you're worried about peace - you should be keeping an eye on ah-I-need-a-bomb, who's a much more likely culprit to use one without thinking. man, I meant... ooops THose nukes are the only things keeping Israel from being overrun by HEzbollah, Iran, Hamas, Syria, Egypt. Those 12000 nukes in American hands might have something to do with it too. RecordSage, the title is not mine, it's BBC's original title for the story and I just copied/pasted it (I'm too lazy to write my own titles these days I agree, there's nothing new about Israel having nukes. But knowing the US + Russia + Big Europeans totally have more than 25K nukes is beyond being "disturbing". Let's add India, Pakistan, China to this picture... Not very bright. THose nukes are the only things keeping Israel from being overrun by HEzbollah, Iran, Hamas, Syria, Egypt.Really.... Hezbollah is composed of elite light infantry and a political class more interested in Lebanese politics that "overrunning" Israel. Iran, just look at the map, how the hell are they going to Israel, by camel caravans or row boats? Hamas can barely hold on to Gaza, areas which the IDF attacks with impunity. Syria is talking right now to Israel over the issue of the Golan Heights. Besides they neither have the numbers, equipment or training (let alone the desire) to get into another war with Israel. Egypt? An American ally for the past 20 years, whose forces... I agree with your sentiments, Invictus... although my concerns is with those who are stupid enough to think they can actually survive trying something with these weapons or even worse, those that don't care about surviving, as long as the cause at hand is served. Anyway, I thought you were promising to come visit this year. Any news in that department? I'm ready with full itinerary The past 12 months were not very pleasant & peaceful for me RecordSage, with many unexpected, "surprise" problems. That affected most of my programs, including travels & vacations. I couldn't go Thailand (I was supposed to be there early March), missed a great Egypt tour which I was invited, I even couldn't move out of Istanbul. Anyway, there is still a possibility for a kind of business trip to the U.S. this fall; NYC and possibly SF, but if everything goes well (crossing my fingers) I want to visit Seattle and Chicago too. I'll definitely let you know weeks before I arrive and we can arrange something. As for the nukes, the picture seems very dark to me, considering many governments being... Please let me know! As for the nukes... as unfortunate as it is - I agree with you (unfortunate being the sentiment, not the fact that I agree with you Sorry to hear about your problems... hopefully things will improve going forward. The pyramids aren't going anywhere any time soon... or so I hope... |
