I wouldn't be surprised if the concern about marriage legislation, is more for the sake of social security and tax implications. Why should a law be trusted that is drafted by corrupt officials. Something that occurred to me was that Christianity gives us the privilege and the responsibility to judge our own actions. Judging anyone else is not our in domain. We can make judgments concerning actions but only where they affect us directly, and often only in a remote way. What people do in privacy, is generally their own business. What our judgment amounts to in the end is that is an opinion, that we can't ever expect to be held by anyone but our selves. That judge had just shown the whole debating team what little respect the Lawmakers are entitled to.
