haha. I get so irritated when I hear this song. I want to scream, "That's not irony!" A generation of kids now have no idea what real irony is.

I'll admit, I haven't ever really understood the difference.

Looking at all the examples above, it seems that what makes something ironic rather than just a coincidence is causal relationship between the two happenings.
