I wrote the timeline you clipped from geocities. Geocities has closed and I have moved the site to: www.angelfire.com/planet/check/earth.html I have made many changes to the site and I invite your comments. Eathviewer that new page is awesome - nice additions - Its now bookmarked in my education tab. The page really gives you an indication of how small we really are. What relly throws ones mind into a boggle is that our star is in main sequence and we are only 1/2 way thru its life. Plus the fact that our star is a 2nd or 3rd generation star in the universe which means its timeframe is but a fraction of the universes timeframe. It is just mind-boggling to think about. In less than 7 billion years everything ever created on out planet will be gone. This living spark of life that the universe morphed into will become silent and forgotten. Like a fleeting moment of brilliance. What will become of the energy that makes up our essence? |
