sparlingphoto says: Just put on your big-boy pants and quit whining about what you inherited! You wanted it...I don't remember Reagan whining about what he inherited from Jimmy Carter. That dog won't hunt much longer. Great speech. Raised his approval level to new highs. Wonderful. Some folks so used to decades of bad leadership and having to be critical about that just don't know what to do. Good approval ratings and 2 bucks will buy you a cup of Starbucks. Obama and those who voted for him set a very high bar for themselves...now he's trying to lower the bar with doom and gloom speeches and whining about what he "inherited". Last night's speech was more upbeat, he knew that his tone was partly responsible for the market tanking, The market reacts very strongly to psychology...positive or negative. I don't like the path he is taking us down. You obviously have a different opinion. I will hold him and his supporters to a very high standard because that is the one they set. You are quite the propagandist starling. If fit the axiom "give a fool enough rope he will hang himself". You clipped Gerald Celente right before this clip agreeing with his prognosis, which is that the U.S. economy is on the cusp of total collapse. Furthermore the wreck and ruin was done by the Bush administration, conservative Fed Chairmen, and the conservative Secretary of the Treasury. So when Obama tells you things are bad he is being honest and matter-of-fact. That certainly doesn't mean we are without hope. We are hopeful when we return to having legitimate oversight instead of laissez faire, anything to make a buck, capitalism that good times are ahead. In President Obama's book ... Ya know BR, you just keep drinking the dogmatic Democrat Kool-Aid. Seriously, at least I can admit when Republicans screw something up. BTW, I'm not the Republican fan-boy you think I am. You, however will follow your party to the gates of hell. I can tell you that I will probably be voting for Ron Paul in 2004...assuming we still have a country left by then. Don't worry, W. wasn't able to destroy the country. Neither could Dracul Dick Cheney. Regadless of whether you are a rebubbacan or a libertarian you are still voting conservative. I could really care less about the Democratic and rebubbacan labels. If W. had us at the gates of heaven, yes I guess I would follow the Democrats to the gates of hell. Why don't you try running for office as a libertarian if neither Democrats or rebubbacans meet your needs? But try running in 2012, 2004 has been already decided. See conservatives always taking us backward. Regadless of whether you are a rebubbacan or a libertarian you are still voting conservative. I could really care less about the Democratic and rebubbacan labels. Then why do you consciously capitalize Democrat and not Republican? Why do you childishly refer to Republicans as "rebubbacans"? You're the reason I quit using the term DemocRat...all it did was water down whatever I was trying to convey. Are you inferring that Republicans are ignorant? If so, take a look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53C2-b8BOLs It's obvious the ignorant are swayed by Democrats in far greater numbers than by Republicans... Big whup to your video. In general the American populace is poorly versed in Civics. Yes, these people don't know who controls Congress and who some of the more notable power figures are but since you are appealing to intelligence, tell me whether this was a scientifically random test and not just a clip, for political reasons, to portray the other side as ignorant. I can find the same clip on ignorance of conservatives and rebubbacans. Witness what a stunning percentage of people, still to this day, have bought into the conservative lie that Saddam Hussein or Iraq had anything at all to do with 9/11. It is truly amazing. I refer to the rebubbacans as rebubbacans because they gave up what t... "You don't have, with much variance to speak of, a "conservative" Fed and Treasury. You pretty much have relative consistency there while the head puppets change their masks from time to time. Goldman Sachs is basically the dugout for the official positions no matter which party is in. Obama misrepresents who IS Wall Street, when it is your dad, uncle, brother, neighbor who have put away retirement funds over the years and been a part of America's growth. Now "Wall Street" is evil, the message is targeted at those who either are too dumb to know, or too rich to care, and the middle class suffers. The EXACT OPPOSITE of what he pretended to focus on. Help for the middle class. Anything mention... Davboz, I don't think your Dad, Uncle, brother, or neighbor were involved in creating, or investing in, tranches of mortgages grouped together in collateralized debt obligations, or even had a clue what the hell they were. Davboz, I don't think your Dad, Uncle, brother, or neighbor wereAnd who dangled that "carrot"...let's see, Barney (fudgepacker) Frank, Chris Dodd, Maxine Waters...keep chugging the Kool-Aid, BR!! You don't know jack starling. You can't even get your cast of characters correct. Frank isn't accused of deregulating the investment industry he's accused of pressuring unsound loans. Your a laugh, no your an embarrassment. Phil Graham of Texas, conservative rebubbacan and serial grade school flunky, is the stooge who sheperded the legislation through congress to prevent any oversight and transparency in complex derivatives. Even in the adjustable rate game Fannie and Freddie were late into the game. Trying to save the housing industry from going down. Countrywide has nothing to do with the government, other than taking advantage of the derivative environment enabled by Phil Graham (the... |
