But what has Barrack actually said or done to convince me that he is going to bring change to America? Where is his plan? He is, at this point, nothing but a wishy-washy candidate who has brought nothing to the platform unlike Edwards. I mean, come on, can't we all just get along, is such a lame thing to say.
I dunno, maybe electing a black President will send a message and clean up our image world wide? HA! He better back it up with some actions too to change our image. In other words, I wanna see more than talk.
Will I vote for the Democratic candidate? Of course I will! I DO NOT want any more war. Can they fix this cluster f*** Bush started? I DOUBT it.

A legitimate statistical study shows YES BARACK CAN WIN because he out polls John McCain and has consistently out polled John McCain. Rasmussen Reports has consistently shown Obama beating McCain, currently 46% to 41%.

I know I receive a ton more email from conservatives dishing on Hillary Clinton but I don't use conservatives as an indicator of the independent vote.

Edwards by far is the wishy washiest of all. Listen to what the most steadfast progressive in the Senate Russ Feingold has to say about Edwards:

"I don't understand how somebody [Edwards] could vote, five or six critical votes, one way in the Senate and then make your campaign the opposite positions,"

Asked to explain what precisely he found problematic, Feingold offered that Edwards had "taken in" voters by switching positions on several key issues.

"You have to consider what the audience is, and obviously these are very popular positions to take when you are in a primary where you are trying to get the progressive vote. But wait a minute -- there were opportunities to vote against the bankruptcy bill, there was an opportunity to vote against the China [trade] deal. Those are the moments where you sort of find out where somebody is. So I think, people are being taken in a little bit that now he is taking these positions."

The article doesn't state the obvious. Edwards had the opportunity to vote against the Iraq War but instead he handed George Bush a blank check for invasion.

So it's not about being a good President, it's about winability isn't it? Barrack has 0 foreign policy experience and we have been there and done that. He just isn't qualified Bobby. But time will tell, and hopefully if Barrack is the next President he will have his cabinet to rely on. Barrack is ready Bobby, is voting America ready? At this point we all need a savior and I don't see one in Barrack. But having said all of that, I WILL vote for the democratic nominee for President. I will not ever give another vote for the 12 years of craziness we have had to endure under this horrendous idea of "leadership" that we have had to endure.

All the neocon Republicans who lied us into the quagmire that is Iraq can claim foreign relations experience but that doesn't mean an individual is smart or possesses wisdom.

You mentioned 2 important points.

(1) Winning congress just barely. Do not every forget that the Democrats lost both the Senate and the House of Representatives under Clinton. Clinton never grew the Democratic party. George Bush did more for the Democratic party then the Clinton's did. Obama has pulled in far more independents and has aroused the young people of our nation. Barack grows the party.

(2) The base: McCain has no base. He only receives 26%-30% of his own parties vote in polls. Most Republicans despise McCain. They begrudgingly accept him. If anything gives McCain an advantage it is Democrats who for some reason believe they can't win the election in November. Think about this. More people voted in the Democratic primary in South Carolina than did in the Republican primary.

I too will vote for whoever is the eventual Democratic nominee.
