This hateful old man — born prior to the U.S. entry into World War II — has, for years, spouted hate for others. This hateful old man has a long history of criticizing Jews. If you search the Internet, you can find his rants. This hateful old man is a racist, who has made statements that have inflamed relations between blacks and whites. This hateful old man is a conspiracy nut. Despite serving in the U.S. Navy, this hateful old man now spouts anti-government rhetoric, and blames the U.S. for the events of 9/11. This hateful old man was a strong critic of President George W. Bush and GOP presidential can... My father was a prejudiced old man, funny thing, I'm not. Hmmm. I wonder how that happened. Oh yeah! Because I have my own mind, I can think for myself, and make my own opinions rather than parrot someone else. Too bad you did not try to learn some wisdom from your father. Perhaps you could save yourself from lots of mistakes. That same man kept me out of school for four years because I was a girl. Yet complained that my brother dropped out. I learned a lot all right. How much is wrong in this world that needs to be fought. BTW, he was Christian. I too was raised by hate filled self proclaimed "Christians" Thank Goodness we aren't like them.  Here's to falling, or being thrown ,far from the tree  Yes indeed, some "Christians" I have known were not completely useless as they could be used as horrible examples .... and were "Too bad you did not try to learn some wisdom from your father. Perhaps you could save yourself from lots of mistakes. " Odd is it not that you consider prejudice to be wisdom? That is not "Christian". Where in the Bible is race even mentioned? We are all one race, the human race, all human beings are created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27). I would be curious to get the official response from liberal Democrats who say they aren't racist.Or maybe, just maybe, we could learn to spot bigots by the evidence at hand, and stop trying to either turn everything into a party affiliation. Maybe even stop leaning on party politics to tell us if we're supposed to hate someone or not. Just a thought. |
