The Onion -- some humor today

I've hand several bosses who, in preference to having us lie about an imaginary illness, simply told us to call in and claim a "mental health day". He did so noting that often giving us an extra day to ourselves or an occasional three-day weekend brought us back to the office feeling more refrshed and creative.

I envy people who have a job that they can go to so they can make excuses for not going in.
