schizophrenic, probably with auditory command hallucinations -- mental institution. If he didn't act on the "voices" that would be a different story. That severe of a psychotic episode makes him a "danger to self and others" makes him committable.

I may have popped this because I'm a little masochistic.

It is so sad that things like this happen in the world.

I personally grew up in a hell myself. Mt father never did anything so crazy as this but he did put all of our lives in danger as he drove too fast in a rage at my mother, and that was perhaps the most realistically dangerous but far from the most scary part of that life.

I don't blame my father however. He was raised even worse than I was and he truly never had a chance.

May God have mercy!

He is gone and none of the family saw him off. I never saw him for the last 40 years of his life.

May God, may God have mercy; I know not how to do anything but with a living question ma...

The story of broken America. Those vast distances and with no concept of family. Think of that non-white concept of the extended family and home place that does so much to prevent all those dysfunctional families that feature so much in American media.

Small wonder that those societies where families still function that they see American society as sent from the devil! Your media, before or after your bombs to kill their beloved children in Gaza and Iraq, frightens the hell out of them. So leave them to their blissful mediocrity. Your 21st century will intrude in their world without your interference. Remember people in glasshouses everyday.

Amen righthand!

Some part of this man should be "nuked" in a microwave! I think abusers should be punished "in like kind". (Speaking from one who's been on the receiving end.)

This seems more like the story of a broken man. Recently, a man in Saudi Arabia beheaded his young nephew in the supermarket. That also sounds like the story of a broken man.

We can all sit around and blame our countries for the actions of these individuals. We can bitch and moan all we want. But this is not the story of America. It's certainly not my story and I live in America. I would know.

Only in....

The Vikings' modus operandi was to attack exclusively from the sea, pillage, rape and burn then sail off while trading hearty high fives and congratulatory butt slaps. In other words Ireland being an island nation, something traditionally of great advantage, ended up being a first-night-sober-after-an-alcoholic-binge sized nightmare.

A lot of interesting clips at this site: http://www.eirbiz.com/

An Irish blogger writing about Ireland. More specifically, political corruption, lies, and ineptitude of the Irish government.

I do know that there are a lot of good people in Ireland. In fact, I'd say there are a lot of really great people in Ireland. Bad things happen everywhere. Not only in.....

But this is not the story of America.
Nor is it a Texan story. He's from Arkansas. He'd spent one night in our state before this horrendous act. I suggest changing the title. I know people "love to hate" Texans, but here it's not warranted.

You asked nice so I'll change it although I'm at a loss to know why it matters as to which state he was from! Are you dumping on him because of what he did or where he was from. Another form of racism? State against state. Surely not. Of course if he was Arab it would prove that all Arabs are capable of putting their kid in a microwave!

And this was the point of my posting this clip. It's the rush to judgement if he's not American or white and yet does the like of this. I do believe that something like this is less likely to happen in a society that values kids and prizes family and the extended family in particular. Now I'm being a bit anti white. Does that make me a bit racist too or in...

Then I'm at a loss as to why it was included in the first place. If only for accuracy's sake, it was wrong.

A young Texas father has been found guilty today of badly injuring his infant daughter by putting her in a microwave
Are you still at a loss to know? Is there anyone in the ClipMarks community who doesn't? Why should we distrust the printed word of a reputable newspapers? Until I know for certain to the differ, I accept the Guardian that he was a Texan.

Now that I've dealt with your nit picking comment I might ask you to address the matters raised in light of your disowning of this 'between states person'. Is your level of ability to argue still only at the level of the school yard, kiddo? Have I been too mentally taxing for you? So which comes first, being an American or T...

Actually this raises a real issue.
We could next go to the level of removing information in 2 directions.
It could be rendered taboo to mention gender or it could be taboo to mention which country. And so on!

Rustee wanted Texas removed to protect it's image. This is what censorship is; my assuming that I have the right to control what you say or think in order to protect my image!

Galveston County Daily News
At the time of the attack on May 10, Mauldin and family had just reached Galveston after driving from Arkansas, where Mauldin had lived most of his life.
I was merely responding to the erroneous clip title, which to your credit you edited, yet you seem to have taken this to a personal level for some reason. For me to respond to the various conjectures is a waste of both our times.

So was it a Texan or Arkansan microwave? Or Chinese, probably?

I'm sure that on mature reflection, the next time you will pause before nit picking and maybe you will see the wood from the trees, and view the bigger picture. Contracting civilizations may be beyond your comprehension but it was this aspect of the incident that interested me but I needed a swiftboater to put his two pence worth in so I could make the point. Sure enough, like a bad penny, there was one waiting to nit pick.
