Those poor little bats. With all those labs looking for a cause and cure I hope they find one soon. What a blow. These creatures are vital for the control of insects. I remember watching a spectacular sight as millions of bats emerged from Carlsbad Cavern in New Mexico at sunset upon a visit to the USA. They formed a vast black cloud. I have a pair of Wahlberg's Fruit Bats roosting in my banana trees. They hang from underneath the banana leaves. They are a particularly pretty bats as they don't have the pug-like scrunched-up faces of normal bats. Instead their face resembles that of a fox with a long snout and big brown eyes. Beautiful creatures, and apparently they make very good pets - or so I'm told. Pop for the cool pic What is going on with stuff lately? In better news, I've noticed many bees on my lemon tree this year, as opposed to last year when I only saw one all season long. Maybe the bees are making a comeback? I hope. Are you speaking of honeybee's BNM? I'm not sure exactly, Debby. They looked like honeybees, and not, say, bumblebees. They were doing their job and making me some lemons, LOL. maybe its old age, that cave was an oldage home for bats. |
