This is just step 1 of a more elaborate Dashboard concept we'll be rolling out.

The first version, available for people with a My Clippers list, can be accessed from the My Clippers option in both the ClipCast View and Classic View buttons in the header.

It's raw and new and will be further developed. But it's also fun so we wanted to make it live for everyone to enjoy. So, enjoy!

I was having a rough pre-Christmas sort of day. My one year old knocked over the Christmas tree. My ex husband informed me he got our 7 year old th American Girl that she's been dying for that I couldn't afford. It's raining in Wisconsin that means that not too far behind that rain is ice then snow. Then I came here and this thread with all the happy Santa smileys made me laugh. Plus I LOVE the new dashboard. Merry Christmas to Me. Thanks.

Hey Wurdzgirl - hang in there - what doens't kill ya makes ya stronger? (So "they" say - hehehe) Those American Girls dolls were outrageously expensive 15 years ago when my girls were young - I can't even imagine what they must cost now! But, they are pretty cool. You'll have fun playing with them with your daughter, too. Thank your ex-husband, don't let him think he "got one over" on you.

LOVE the new style on the dashboard. I hope re-edit your post and spell check are forth coming - one can dream. Great work guys, really! TY.

Not to be a killjoy, but I find myself going back the classic look. I liked the simplistic nature and now find myself clicking several times just to find things that I used to be able to do all from one location.

I know that everyone else seems to have liked the changes, but so far for me its been the opposite. Haven't quite found the rythm.

The smiley is great. Maybe clipmarks needs it's own smiley. One you can only find at clipmarks.
The biggest trouble I had with the new setup was the fatal flaw of all operators, trying to get it to work the way I expected it to work, rather than taking the time to find out how it did work.
I decided there was no reason to rush, it is holiday season. Another thing I noticed that is great is that the pages load much quicker. Now clipmarks seems to load as quickly as any other website.

I have a few requests, so I figure this is as good a place as any for them.

1. How about when you ignore someone's comments, you no longer receive an e-mail when they make a comment on a thread you are monitoring?

2. One thing I have wanted for a long time is for new clips to be created in a tab instead of a window, or at least an option to make that happen.

3. For an easy way to monitor our clip activity and our clippers activity, why not make two small icons (maybe one with a single smiley face and one with two overlapping smiley faces), put them up top or down low or anywhere you can squeeze them in and have them pop up that activity whenever you hover your mouse over them in ...

I'm with Oortcloud. I love the whole clipcast concept, and the new dashboard is quite fun, but for serious popping and browsing clips I still revert to classic (and still miss the two windows on the right.

Still, I like the new - it's a shame the old had to lose a couple of features in the process.

I actually started a clip about this feature and it had a 'wow' in the title
Yet some things seem to work a bit funny in this mode. I don't always get the clip I try to load and some clippers seem to have a mix-up with other clippers' avatars.

All that said, I'm still missing the little action boxes.
Hope they come back somehow.

n2sooners is stuck up on ignoring people but he speaks my mind with above suggestion. I think Clipmarks' clipping experience could use an improvement especially reduction in time clipping anything, but aside from a newly redesigned box, I do not see any help in reducing the amount of time it takes to clip anything. The launch of new box in a tab is a good idea, another is to some how fill in the headline (so we save time in copy/pasting the source headline).

I'm compromising this by not spending too much time on tagging, as I hav...

JohnWaterman, I find popping and browsing clips via ClipCast to be much more quicker, only if you use keyboard shortcuts. There is no comparison here. ClipCast browsing/popping is way too faster with keyboard shortcuts. But I still come back to Classic View as well when it comes to getting overall view of the site. ClipCast doesn't give me a feel of community, it feels like I'm browsing and popping alone.

I find the free title line a precious feature though, arifsali, its a space for getting creative and inserting in one line my take on the clip.

Anyone else gets mixed identities? My clippers' avatars are totally mixed in an ever puzzling combinations between a clipper and his/her avatar.
