I'm a big Yankees fan and, of course, that makes me a Derek Jeter fan. But more important to me than his achievements on the field is the fact that in 13 seasons he has never (literally, never) acted in a way that was less than classy and worthy of being a role model for children. Considering the state of sports today and the way many athletes behave, i think he deserves enormous credit for his consistency as a human being. The quote below is from a veteran MLB umpire today...
