Yep, I have encountered this one too... as I have been sifting through all the recent clips about Christian fundamentalism... I really did get sucked in to some of the sickest most twisted expressions of the Christian faith. Oh, impressionable youth! And, oh the wisdom that can sometimes come with age... and a miraculous escape from some serious brainwashing! Don't listen to anyone who says that one can not be brought back to reality, even from insanity such as this!

The premise that binds is that god wrote a book written by man. Why the hell would a god (who created all this, from cosmos to atom) need a man to write a book?

If we could ever get people to realize this initial folly, a major link in the chain of mental slavery has been broken, and their minds may once again become free.

Simply put: The Book is a Fraud!

I struggle to write about everything in this world that pisses me off.

I suppose it was the news that my father was going to die of cancer within the next year that spurred me to write. Faced with death, mortality and those eternal questions about where we fit into all of this huge cosmos, I guess I feel a pang of guilt hijacking JW's clip here.
Truly, I am pig fu**ing sick of religion and its claim to provide answers to human reality.

I wish I could say I'm happy to let others live and die embraced with faith and hope it offers some condolence when faced with hardship, but the truth clippers, is that I honestly haven't the time any more for people who still cling on to the remnants of...

The anthropologist Margaret Mead once said, "Men are the impetus of culture." Put another way, this means men have led the way. Religion did not invent this fact though it has reflected and institutionalized it. Now, you can damn this fact of human history as one big chauvinist plot against women or you can accept it as simple fact of human evolution. Margaret also said, "male and female roles are defined by the expectations of both sexes."

Kansas is admittedly a little behind the times.. But Mr. Myers is a knee jerk liberal and they're as bad as narrow minded conservatives.

Weird Kansas, I believe Mick. But no, no difference (as far as I know - which isn't very.)
