egoldstein says: Thank you to everyone who pushed us to get moving on this one. We're very excited about how much better the overall Clipmarks experience is with ClipSearch. Read the full blog post here. In the blog post, there is an overview of some other changes that we also made to the site. Very cool!!!!! excellent stuff you guys!! Thanks guys. I probably will have more to say later regarding this latest coup (I usually do), but for now suffice to say overawed and WOW spring to mind. That's excellent news! Awesome! WTG!! Hats off to you guys! Thanks very much guys. I'm still busy exploring this new development sooooo I will probably have more to say later ( I usually do). However for now the words overawed and WOW do spring to mind Holy Schmoley, Clipmarks just got pretty damn close to perfect. oops now if we could only have a way of removing double posts on comments so that one (me) would not feel it almost necessary to fall on my sword. I like! Don't worry about it, Socratoad. My boo-boo is using Cooliris to view a clip, thinking I'm adding a comment or pop, then wondering where it went. It doesn't show up because I didn't actually click on the clip. I'm learning. Now, I'm wondering what I said that didn't go show up. Love the new ClipSearch, btw..Can't wait to explore more. Thanks Dorine, I needed that. One part of me is growing with Clipmarks...In a few months that I've been here you have done a lot!!!..Is like playing with a new toy. Thank you very much... ClipSearch is a splendid feature! I am so pleased with it! This makes it so much easier to find clips pertaining to my interests. I like the fact that the clips appear chronologically, with the latest clips at the top. A quick key word search should help me avoid clipping an article that has already been clipped by someone else. Relying on the tag search method was frustrating and time-consuming, tags being so subjective. Surprise Me is a lot of fun! So far I've been surprised by clips concerning oil prices and clips that mention the Amazon river. It's like being able to choose a grab bag without the possibility of getting a dud! All new changes are just excellent, I have not tried anything yet but reading your complete blog makes me think that all features were needed and will be useful. This Suprise Me feature is too good, it feels like Clipmarks was just born today. Now I can't stop myself from clicking on this orange button, helppppppppp. egoldstein, Excellent! i had been 1. placing as much tags on my clips, so readers can SEARCH and FIND related articles, and 2. i had also add remarks or comment, such as "see my Related clip ...". i will check it out! more power to the TEAM. i was just about to build a wishlist...stay tune... yay clipmarks!!!! *pop* I'm so in love with the Surprise Me feature. i just tried the "surprise me" feature, and fittingly, i was REALLY surprised; guess that's the point. nice work, clipmarks crew! Hi Eric and team, I have some thoughts, would like to share in public to see if others can add anything. I noticed that the Surprise Me feature picks up random words in single or multiple via some algorithm, wondering if we could do anything special (or be mindful of our tags) to "help" your system pickup the clips more efficiently? Or to word it differently, would you like to share how is it done in the background? I think this Surprise Me is going to be a huge feature going forward but it would depend on how much content we fill on daily basis, obviously too many duplicate Surprise Me's won't be helpful. Also, the few and current tags on the front page, under "see clips about..." is an... Excellent changes!! Eric & the gang! you guys are great, always looking for ways to make Clipmarks better! We're so lucky to have this fun website! I finally used the Surprise Me button. I certainly was surprised. Did you guys know what interesting things come up when searching arnold schwarzenegger? His name is mentioned almost randomly in quite a few clips. I was looking at the list of clips and saying to myself, "What does this clip have to do with Arnold?" Lo and behold, it is surprising indeed. I might never stop clicking the orange button. Good! How about "CommentSearch"? |
