Some good questions:
Are we as a nation always looking for the easy solution? Are we willing to provide out society with nutritious low cost food? Why is obesity a problem?

It is market strategy. Take real food and process it into crap. Package it for ease of cooking. Both these things add to the price of what once was simple real food.

Your body doesn't know what some of this junk is. So it reacts in different ways. That is when our pretend Doctors prescribe certain pills. And they like catch phrases like Cholesterol. Which is what our own bodies make. But that has become a bad thing now. I guess the drug companies know more about our bodies then our bodies know themselves. So they give us statines that can give us numerous side effects. One side effect is actually a terminal illness. It is called Rabdomylosis.

Exercise, diet, availability of nutrious, low fat, and affordable food. At least one parent at home for the children, safe parks, playgrounds, and community activities. The government and big business took that away; no vacation, outsourcing, low paying jobs, no medical, and working mom and dad work 2 or 3 low income jobs while taxpayers pay for day care or the children are left home alone. We have our self to thank for that, VOTE, till the job gets done.
