this is ridiculous! especially the position of the "a". i hope these never go into production! Yeah... arranging the letters in alphabetical order doesn't seem logical to me either. I still prefer my own old "unhaptical" keyboard Qwerty certainly has it's drawbacks, but this doesn't look like much of an improvement. The most used letters should be under the home row. For single point input like a stylus, I love the FITALY layout, and I've been tempted to try Dvorak, but it's awfully hard to bother changing when you're already pretty decent at with qwerty. The first thing that struck me, actually, is the split keys. I have a hard enough time with ergonomic Qwerty keyboards that are split down the middle! Mostly because my fingers "help each other out" and jump sides... actually having the letter in alphabetical order on the keyboard can really speed up your typing speed. im not sure why. i know i know both ways of typing--as well as DVORAK, which is very fast also--and the alphabetical order one is remarkably smooth and swift. QWERTY, i swear, has been made to purposely slow your typing down. if these go into production i will buy one for sure. you guys need a more open mind. just maybe this keyboard layout will improve your typing speeds and percision. you ever think of that? oh yeah, and if you got the time to learn a new thing that will easily make up for for the time needed to learn it in extra work done, DVORAK is probably the best. its a bit bettt... I don't think I could ever learn how to type like that. Plus, it took me nearly a year to learn to type the QWERTY way, and as fast as I do. Keyboarding was the one class that I very nearly failed in high school. So, thanks but no thanks. We should stick with the keyboard we have now. QWERTY, i swear, has been made to purposely slow your typing down.ArthurDwayne, actually, it was. History lesson: The Qwerty keyboard came out when typists (using Dvorak I believe) would be typing so fast on typewriters that they'd stick the keys and cause problems. Thus, they changed the keyboard and made it as illogical as possible. This slowed most people down, and took care of the stuck keys, until faster typewriters (electric ones, then computers) came about. you guys need a more open mind. just maybe this keyboard layout willActually, yes, I have. As I said, I tried the "split down the... Wow, geeknoop, I didn't know that, thanks! Now I see this in an other context. |
