Yup, Israel has long been suspected of having nuclear weapons and actually has been accused of stealing the fissile material from a Georgia facility. Israel has no compunction against using military might to keep the situation in its current static area. Iran, is going to be the catalyst to destabilize and eventually, ignite everything that is flammable in the Middle East. Iran's Ahmadinejad has threatened to destroy Israel in a speech, and their fundamentalist version of the Koran dictates that they destroy all infidels. That being Jews, Christians, Buddhists and anyone who doesn't convert to Islam. Ahmadinejad never threatened to attack and destroy Israel militarily--"wiped off the map" (militarily) was Israeli and U.S. spin and propaganda--only said that politically Israel should be erased from the map (see accurate translation for proof). Secondly, Israel has not kept within its map, it's borders, and in fact has no legally published borders, nor even a written Constitution (per CIA factbook). To dissent that political Israel has a "right" to exist when it in fact has no lawful borders and was created by force, is a far cry from threatening military attack.
