Also, your lungs would get sucked out of your body through your mouth due to the high vacuum of space. Not a pretty sight!

Professors at MIT are working on a new kind of spacesuit that is skin tight. That's (theoretically) all that's needed, rather than the massive suits we've used since the 60s.

As it is, you skin makes an almost perfect pressure suit. "Almost" being the operative word....
