Fascinating indeed , but at this hour I'm incapable of giving it my full attention. I will read, reread and reflect on this later.

At no small risk of being dismissed as a Luddite I cannot help but worry a tiny bit that "we" are becoming so enthralled and unquestioning of science and technology that almost becoming unquestioning ciphers. Turning the most erudite scientists into a new cult of high priests.

How many more programmed genetic pointers that suggest none too subtly that we ultimately are not truly in charge of our own destinies will we swallow whole cloth before we are no longer human/humane in the traditional understanding of this condition.

I do not think Luddite is the correct term Socra, maybe simply careful should/could suffice? yes we are becoming more and more addicted to our capacity to re-invent ourselves, via modern science and technology, the fact is we (the human race) are in charge of our destinies and the push is towards becoming less of what we were born to be and more of what we may become. is this good or bad?, i think time will tell, but the motion itself is inexorable.
