I've naturally seen exceptions but they are by no means the rule. Bigotry seems a pretty severe accusation for you to use. Remember, this clip refers to evangelicals who post on atheist sites. Context is important!

This isn't restricted to atheist sites. I've seen it on alternative religion (e.g., Wiccan) websites (also trolled by evangelicals), from right- and left-wingers posting on each others' turf, and, one of the oddest, from Windows, Mac and Linux partisans. A strong opinion is often a short route to incivility.

It may surprise people here to learn that it even happens on Clipmarks.

@Masbury, take into account that AtlLib's remarks are in the context of people who post as a deliberate act of provocation. We've all seen it happen.

Of course, I'm not completely blameless. I've been known to sometimes refer to Evangelicals as Evangenitals. Although I tend to use that bit of wordplay when the context is related to religion versus sexuality.
