righthand says: And all for the lack of one assassins bullet. Where is Mossad when it's needed? "Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?" If he was such a bad man could no one be found to "judicially assassinate" this 'turbulent' ruler? Keeping the rules has NOT been the hallmark of this administration, so why not 'eliminate' Saddam? The truth is that he was never the target. Assassination would not have produced occupation. It would have save 4,000+ US lives but we have learnt that these didn't matter either. The out of sight, out of mind, no presidential presence at funerals worked for AWOL Bush. However the broken in mind and body will not go away so easily. Until they are swamped by the next lot. don't have the heart to go through till the end of these pictures! it hurts to see even some of these pics... your caption is the wake up call... How many of the tens of thousands like these, must hate the government who made them like this, and what do the families feel about this destruction of lives. I fear that many of these unnecessary victims of greed, and a lust for power, may feel that they were there for their country, and that's enough. Well, it's not enough, they have a right to be mad as hell, and the American people should be mad as hell too. But most of them probably don't even know about these broken heroes, after all, a "Government of the People, and for the People", would never let this happen,......right? what man does to man! I just got finished reading a story in the New York Times about wounded Iraqi vets and their lack of pay and health care. War is hell. Once in a great blue moon, you'l see a MSM story on these men, but not often. Why is that? Lets us not forget that these soldiers went into war in dedication to our country to do their duty. They are heroes to me even tho I don't support the reasons they were ordered to fight. The fact that they did so is enough to show they are dedicated, brave and courageous. They deserve honor and respect. They should never pay taxes again. They should be treated by the finest doctors at no charge and we should bring food, goods and services to their bedsides until they die. Makes me ashamed to be human! Shame should not be associated with what these people have given. Heroes ever one. Doesn't make the cause heroic! ANY shame is on their masters soldiers. In general, never on men or women obeying orders. Look who pays and who gains. Where do leaders lead? Wherever we will follow. To the faithful and too soon departed, to the wounded in mind and body who "survived", to their families and loved-ones, the uttermost respect is due! I deeply sympathize with you all. May God bring you Peace. It wasn't so nightmarish in movies, was it? "Goodbye, Saddam, the world will be better without you". Forgive us, our heroic boys and girls, for our silent passive collaboration with the war criminals. You have to be their last victims. People complain about Bush and his AWOL past. But he does support American soldiers. What about Obama? He will not wear even a simple flag on his coat. He will not say the pledge to our Flag. He has never served in the military. He has stated that he would sit down with terrorist countries for what? Helping Peace? Please. This country has enough problems let's start first by impeaching the entire governmental system and getting it back in the hands of the people. The pictures above are not a result of the past eight years but rather more than 50 years of STUPID politics from irresponsible people claiming to be working for the people. Wake up America! Obama is not the answer. A 100% complete overhaul is needed from the ground up. Unfortunately, in America your choices are very limited. Its either Obama or McCain, unless Bush goes for compete dictatorship. Agreed neither would be on any list of my choices, but there is no doubt as to which of these two who is the better choice. Why on earth do you need some military genius? Unless you are planning on taking over the rest of the world, I don't see the need of a military man. In fact, I'd ban military experience in office for a period. You are in the shit economically. Sort that. On many levels you don't make second class. Fix at home and the rest of the world will do fine. People complain about Bush and his AWOL past. But he does support American soldiers. What about Obama? He will not wear even a simple flag on his coat. He will not say the pledge to our Flag.Better check your sources, bud, these things aren't true; repeating them is lying. Great clip righthand. Our own young men and women - they go to Iraq and return damaged from a war that happened because our administration lied to us. GI Bill for $63 billion over 10 years for increased college aid and $162 billion funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This seems out of balance. I wonder how much of the $162 billion will actually get spent in Afghanistan? I'd rather see more money in the GI Bill and less money in the bogus war. Moving clip. However, It is a rotten thing to use the personal tragedy of war to emotionally wrench the justified. Iraq and Afghanistan are now free nations because of what these men and women sacrificed. That deserves respect. Their sacrifice should not be used by you to make a political statement. That makes it appear that you are grateful for the cross that others have to bear for your point. What about Obama? He will not wear even a simple flag on his coat. He will not say the pledge to our Flag. This could not be more true and it is relevant to this clip when you think of the contrast it shows where courage is concerned because McCain shares the experience of these men ... kenstipe, I'm not going to defend Righty's motive in posting this clip, I'm sure he'll do that in his own way. However, as I write these words, almost 500 people have seen this clip, 500 people who have seen the real cost of the obscenity that is the war in Iraq. Would you really have these images hidden away from public view, do they assault your conscience? if so, that's a good thing, maybe you, and others, will see the courage and suffering of these men and women. It shouldn't be hidden, but honored. As for Iraq and Afghanistan being free, you have a strange idea of freedom. What a wake up call! Would you really have these images hidden away from public view, do they assault your conscience? Not at all. I wouldn't mind if they were the lead story on the nightly news every single night and I don't have a problem at all with the clip. The problem I have is using the sacrifice of these brave people that liberated two countries, spread freedom and democracy, and fought terrorist insurgents from al queda. These people are heroes and there is nothing wrong with displaying the cost of war. Nothing is hidden. The problem is with the person that used these images for emotional reasons to make a political statement. A statement that probably none of the men and women in the pictures above would agree with. The problem is with the person that used these images for emotional reasons to make a political statement. A statement that probably none of the men and women in the pictures above would agree with.May be the tile that I choose "For WHAT? One Man! And the Next WAR?" says it all. May be because you ignore my major point as to the lack of an assassin's bullet. May be you feel the need to justify the deaths and casualties, never mind the extraordinary Iraqi loses. May be you do believe the rubbish that their sacrifice was for your, their good. May be if realize the futility of the (illegal) invasion then you might do something to i... They are all a bunch of white men ganging up to kill arabs. And were paid to do it. My sympathy goes to the Iraqi victims, not to those thugs. yeah, OK. They are all a bunch of white men ganging up to kill arabs. And wereThat has got to rank as one of the most mind-bogglingly uncompassionate statements I have ever seen. I don't care what your politics or views on the war are. It is this sort of heartless attitude that allows war in the first place. You pick and choose which victims of violence are worthy of your "sympathy"! - how meanspirited is that? As for your "sympathy" going to Iraqi victims, it would seem to be such a small, shrivelled and perverted type of feeling that it's not worth having. I pity you. Goodonya Liz! |
