I was wondering why the aliens hadn't had anything to say about this. Perhaps when they found out how those in the first contact acted, they thought it would be a good idea to step back and watch for a while without getting involved. I can understand the US government wanting to keep a contact secret, but what do the aliens get out of the deal?
