Shameful! You might be right, TRN. I'm certainly more cautious due to the recent reports from China.

Read the article - it's disgusting!

And so between the dead pets and poisoned toothpaste on one hand, and stories like this on the other, China plummets from the world's most admired entrepreneur to the most maligned.

It's just come out that it's a hoax; the reporter faked the story.

I heard, that it's just an attempt by the Chinese government to discredit the undercover reporter in the light of all the recent food safety scandals. They're supposedly just trying to save face. If you were a reporter in China, would you dare make up a story like this? Who to believe?

This smacks of government cover-up! Why?

Did anyone notice the *reason* the street vendor gave for putting cardboard into the steamed buns in the first place? He said he wanted to 'increase his popularity'. Talk about the WORST cover-up lie ever used! China is ultra sensitive right now as the Summer Olympics are drawing close and they are busy doing damage control from all the food problems they have. Ooops. Nice try China, but no cigar.

On a completely off topic and unrelated note - Napster remember that time I promised you I'd provide you with a source that China's FDI slowed.

make money cutting corners by using inexpensive ingredients or unsavory substitutes. They are almost impossible to regulate.

I suppose in the US our "unsavory substitutes" are a little easier to "regulate". Hey, margarine is only a molecule away from being plastic! Intersting Clip.
