LOL. I have no problem resisting married men. As the old saying goes. "If they do it with you; they'll do it to you. Sisterhood is powerful!

Do what is right for you and what you think is right. It is you that must live with any consequences, good or bad, not the sisterhood or any other hood. Most hoods are bad news, if you are any individual that is.

Well, I do believe in moral absolutes, and I'm not going to pretend that I don't. Call me old fashioned by I believe adultery is an act of selfishness. Having said that, I also believe in forgiveness and that no single act defines a person. You misinterpreted the phrase "sisterhood is powerful." It does not mean that women should sacrifice their individuality but rather that they should unite to accomplish goals that will mutually benefit them. You are aware that women are still oppressed in many parts of the world??

I'm against oppression in any guise. So for me if it's male or female, young or old, black or white or whatever then I support the oppressed, and male or female is irrelevant. Where I support the 'hoods' while apart from them, is that it is easier to achieve from within a 'hood' than without.

Always remember that every 'hood' has a natural tendency to be itself repressive! That natural tendency to be itself repressive can be to a very strong personality, to a central majority, the 'them' and 'us' tendencies of all committees, and on and on. So all 'hoods' have a fascist leaning. You can even see it here...

Its not irrelevant if you are a member of the oppressed group. How can any one member of an oppressed group triumph over oppression without forming an alliance with other members of that class and acknowledging similar experiences and goals?

With great difficulty. Like you I can only tell you of my own experiences. I've served on many volunteer committees from business to sport. I served as president/Chairman of the Irish Chess Union for 7/8 years. I'll call one part of my experience the "them and us" syndrome. This was only noticeable after someone was newly elected on to a committee. Suddenly they were 'us' and the rest of the members were 'them'. I sometime found it difficult to keep a straight face. For some the syndrome lasted during their entire time on the committee while for others it was short term.

Ever committee has a little fascism built-in. And yet little would change for the better without a democratic structure. So the struggle begins!

I'm ok w. it when the couple is separated, but, when I was separated, I still felt married and still didn't mess around. The ex did tho, he was shagging every woman that well, would let him... Was even paying for the sex lines. Some people get so crazy, crazed.

I hope things have taken a turn for the better for you. Nobody should ever have to put up with that.
