Jo5329 says: So you pay for the CD and then load it into iTunes to put on your iPod and now that is illegal? Are these people so desperate for money they are now going after the end user who has already paid for it? Yep, they're that desperate, and that willing to deliberately misstate copyright law. And they wonder why people are so eager to put them out of business. I guess it's pointless buying the CD then, isn't? Are you going to carry 300 CDs with you, or your iPod? You see some people (like myself) are willing to pay the artist for their work, directly. We need a new system. Avril Lavigne if you would like to send me your postal address I would be happy to send you a check for the music (your music) I have downloaded. But since I didnt get any physical CD, or artwork, and it didnt cost you anything in distribution - I think 10p (0.10 UKP) is a fair price per track. But the check is to be to you and only you, not your agent and not any label. Considering what most labels are doing to destroy music, I will not support them - but I'm happy to support the actual artist. |
