sohil says: The link has more information about the buildings and what they were for, they are AWESOME. They certainly had creative artists... A lot of people can draw nice on paper. They had no buildings actually built like these. Most of the buildings built for living were boxy looking, with very shoddy quality. Considering all of the corruption, thievery, alcoholism at construction sites - I don't think they could build anything like shown in the pictures. After looking at your profile for a while and following you, this was exactly what I thought you'd say. Although I put in different words. "They never built in so how can they be called architecture, they were too corrupt so they could never build it" Sorry RecordSage. But I'm not kidding this is what I thought you'd say Ok, you're not kidding, I'm consistent But regardless of what my profile or other comments state - I lived there for the first 15 years of my life, I've seen their architecture and achievements in the area first hand. I'm not saying that they had no talent in the area of art, music and some others, but since we're talking architecture - I'm just telling you what I recall, that's all. I think we could agree that having some nice drawings doesn't necessarily represent ability to build the actual buildings. Your header stated that these drawings look better than today's buildings and I simply commented because you're comparing paper drawings to real buildings. I guess I just didn't wan... Just kidding record sage But they would have been awesome if built. Yes, they would be IF.. If you like that art - you might like this guy. He lives in the USA now and I've had a few conversations with him, I think he's got a very interesting style/color, taking old approach and making it look modern. He's worked for a number of major companies as well as magazines. Hey thanks for link |
