Lawns can be replaced with perpetually self-sustaining, thriving human habitats. Diverse environments with greenery, flowers, animals, birds. Sounds like a very palatable, enjoyable replacement for lawns -- those life sucking systems on permanent life support!

Hey, maybe we could even turn grass clippings into fuel for automobiles??
