Look for new lies from Creationism/ID as it adapts to criticism and unveiling of its distortions and frauds. Make no mistake, these people at the Discovery Institute are ruthless in their quest to insinuate religion into the curriculum. They will use any method to accomplish this goal. These are not simply people gathered together to "give another perspective". They are organized to force their agenda to teach religious myths to our children.

The last sentence of the clip is chilling considering High Priest Bush has used the same language. No one considers Bush to be versed in science, given his record. The dangerous part is that he does hold the power to cause real harm to education and that is a problem that will last long past his failed administration.

BTW, the PBS program yesterday on Nova was superb. Check it out at pbs.org and look for "Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial,".

I have had religion rammed down my throat in my days at school. Do not let it happen under any circumstances.

I'm truly sorry to hear that. The good news is that the religious myths of your childhood can be overcome. Read, educate and observe. After all, the ideas implanted are just that, thoughts. This is no magical being waiting to punish you eternally. How liberatiing is that!

"these people at the Discovery Institute are ruthless..."

I have been watching them for a few years. They are professional liars and they are thugs. There's quite a few people who believe everything they say. The Discovery Institute is causing a lot of harm to this country and I expect it to get worse. I don't know what the solution is. It might help to vote for only the most pro-science politicians, and that's why Hillary Clinton will probably get my vote.

I am forty, and at age eleven, I was not sure I believed in God. I was curious why it was on our money and why it was in our Pledge of Elegance. So, I noticed one boy did not stand and say the pledge. I asked him why? He told me because his religion did not believe in God.

The following day I sat down as the class was called to pledge their elegance to our Country and God. I refused. The confused teacher asked why. I told her I was not sure yet if I believed in God. She told me I had to do it, but I still refused. I was sent home, but not for long. When my mother caught wind she marched me into school, chewed out the teacher and the principle and walked me into class and made sure it was c...

Just a small piece of data: the vast majority of Christians are happy with evolution theory.

I'm not so sure that's correct. At least here in the US polls have shown that a majority (50+%) believe in Creationism. Now how they are able to reconcile this Creationist viewpoint with evolution is not clear if what you say is true. And ID doesn't come to the rescue either since it is nothing but Creationism dressed in a science costume.

I think there must be quite a bit of cognitive dissidence involved in trying to hold both of these ideas in one brain.

I think your own clips have demonstrated beyond doubt that many of those who call themselves Christian demonstrate by the rotten fruits of their attitudes and beliefs that they are anything but.

I can understand your position here but unfortunately it rests on a logical fallacy. Here's an example:
Imagine Hamish McDonald, a Scotsman, sitting down with his Press and
Journal and seeing an article about how the ‘Brighton Sex Maniac
Strikes Again’. Hamish is shocked and declares that “No Scotsman would
do such a thing”. The next day he sits down to read his Press and
Journal again and this time finds an article about an Aberdeen man
whose brutal actions make the Brighton s...
