What I'm actually interested is, there hasn't been a clear sign of a solid shift yet. For now, just the control of the houses shifted to Democrats and they seem very busy with celebrations. We'll see what happens.

I clipped another story from the BBC which said "Don't underestimate George Bush's determination". I absolutely agree; in fact, it's not just Bush's but an ambitious clan's determination. It will take a hard work and many more minor struggles to make a genuine shift in America. Unfortunately, I don't see the same determination at Democrats.

On the home front, I would like to see federal minimum wage increased along with an increase in federal pell grants. There are probably going to be investigations into the Iraq war machine and that is why Rummy vacated. I think that the fact that the congress isn't going to be rubber-stamped anymore is positive, but you are right that it will take hard work and we will see if the Dems are up to the job.
