I knew we had some "junk" out there in theocean, but I had NO idea there was a virtual floating island of plastic debris twice the size of Texas! That's insane.

Why doesn't some government (like the US) develop a some kind of trash-boat to gobble that stuff up and turn it into something positive? At the very least get it out of the water.
