Would you believe I had never heard of International Women's Day until I moved to Europe? We don't acknowledge it here in the US. Just Mother's Day. Guess a woman doesn't count for much here unless she's procreated.

Women earn 60% less than men, NII statistics say

Working women in Israel earn an average of 60% less than men, according to figures published Thursday by the National Insurance Institute (NII) ahead of International Women's Day.

In addition, poverty among women was found to be 7% higher than among men in Israel.
