A lot of people are in denial, because they are convinced they suffer from a failing alone. perhaps other examples have been remote, or invited ridicule, and very often the thing that is being denied, is common, and commonly denied. The denial can even be seen as noble, or a burden that must be borne, for the sake of someone that has no idea. That lies are necessary, because we got ourselves into a stupid situation. Very often denial can be relieved, and exposed, when talking to someone else, with the same problem, and can be seen from other eyes. Trouble with denial, is that the denier, is always the last to know.
Too many 'white lies' can grow into avalanches.
