pokkets says: Dogs have personalities if you watch them. We have Izzy. When he gets a chewy bone, he likes to throw it in the air like a toy, smiling. Sometimes he loses it, or gets ripped off. He has more fun playing with it than eating it. Izzy come up with that one. Pokemon is serious most of the time, and barks at anyone she hasn't seen in a week when they walk in the door. She's been doing it since she was born. She's 9 now. We have a picture of her in the litter a few weeks old, and you can tell it is her by the look on her face. But she does the 'wiggle' Like rolling on the grass with a smile on her face, (It's usually on someones bed, she feels important then. on 'Prime real estate'). Duke is always barking. If you know him you know why. He wants you to go outside to play with the ball.He asks everybody. Most of the dogs would play with the ball-if Duke gave them the chance. Duke has 4 balls. If you kick all of them around he can't be happier. Lani bows when she knows it's time for a walk Lovely 'tail' Pokkets. My friend had a gorgeous Boer Bull who, when he took a shine on someone, would grab their hand in his mouth and drag them to his dog box where he would sit holding onto your hand until he had had enough of your attention and affection, and only then would he let go. He adored me (the feeling was mutual) so I spent a lot of time at the dog box. Dogs are my favourite animals. Having fun is the warp and woof of the doggies' psyche. @ Michelle Boer Buls are great dogs to have, I had one, he was the most friendliest of dogs but he kept any would be criminals away whith just one bark Wonderful dogs Brim, but when they lock into battle with each other they are like pit bulls. Another friend of mine had two females and one day it took three adults over an hour to separate them. Should do a clip on African dogs, like Basenjis and Rhodesian Ridgebacks etc. Would be interesting, I think. By the way, I see a fellow Safrican - Web Wolf Hosting who is from PE. We're thin on the ground right now, but a growing band, I hope. I first saw Pokemon 'bow' when my brother came home. She's his favourite. She also started with a low ooo0000OOOO like a low groan. Like she was trying to point out she had been waiting all day to see him, and he had been away soooo long. It was the first time I'd ever heard a dog make a sound like that. He'd call her a 'good girl'. Pokemon has worked out that 'good girls' get better leftovers. Now when she sees him eating the howl has changes to oo-OOO0 every time he says 'good girl' Of course it's physically impossible for a dog to sound like a human, but she seems to be giving it her best shot. The howl sounds more like 'good girl' every time she does it. That's interesting Pokkets, because I saw a dog (on Oprah, I think) who could make sounds that resembled words. It was quite eerie really. Pokemon sounds so special. |
