You have to admit, though that he did steal like crazy. Once he started, maybe it all grew too big for him to get out of again. Imagine the strain it must have been to live all those years with such a secret, wondering when and if the whole scheme would come crashing down around him... which it eventually did. And he was a trustee of some charities. Makes you wonder if giving to the poor is really giving to the rich. |
