Another John Mc Cain? Puzzling. Odd. I have found many of Ron Paul's votes puzzling and odd. I agree with him on a lot of issues, but sometimes I will see him vote in a way I just don't understand. Paul’s spokeswoman Rachel Mills talked to the congressman and explained why he voted no. “He didn’t want to cast a contentious political vote,” said Mills, “because he thinks that torture is the real issue here. He sees what’s going on as a partisan stunt.” http://washingtonindependent.com/44117/ron-pauls-vote-against-the-pelosi-commission-resolution Makes sense to me, why waste time and taxpayer money for nothing more than partisan grandstanding. Interesting, n2sooners. Can you remember the issue and the way he voted? I have always liked the way he voted on the issues I am aware of. He sees what’s going on as a partisan stunt. And here lies the problem. He sees an investigation into whether or not the CIA is lying to members of congress as a political stunt. I disagree. Then there was his opposition to the Iraq war, his opposition to winning the war, and his opposition to the surge. He was with those on the far left that actually wanted to defund our troops in order to force the president to pull them out. Like I said, I am with Paul on most issues, but we have huge differences of opinion on a few important issues. |
