No great surprise except that with his boss's control of the judges, Libby was stiff to be sentenced.

Armitage was the leaker. Fitzgerald knew that before he started his investigation. His investigation should have been over before it started.

What was Libby charged with again?

Oh yeah, perjury and OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, which means that he obstructed the investigation, which makes me wonder, why would he do that if he/they had nothing to hide?

That is the whole point ! How could Libby obstruct a crime which was found NOT to exist. He did apparently make a mistatement, whether he did so intentionallly or not is the issue. If unintentional, it is not a crime. If intentional, crime. Why would he lie about something which there were no motivation to lie for. There was NO crime to investigate.

How do you know that, if the prosecutor was prevented from finishing his investigation. This underlying crime bit is old. Libby committed the crimes and was going to be punish for it. He lied, he obstructed and all to protect his bosses. End of story.

Your comment is ridiculous and shows a total disregard for the events of this case. Everything Libby knew is KNOWN. His "mis-statements" were inconsequential to the case.

"Your comment is ridiculous" is a ridiculous comment lol.
The man was clearly guilty of perjury or he never would have been charged. There would be no sensible man who would go near the Whire House without a water tight case.
Libby was the man who took the heat out of the fire for the Whire House and so had to do more time than what'shername. And we're wasting our time discussing HIS guilt? Reconcile that system!
