The quiz is hilarious... Just pray that you're not a zero: In terms of relationships, if you feel the urge to 'go forth and multiply', then don't bother because nothing will come of it. this clipmark makes me think we need one rule here...no more clipmarks that make me feel as stupid as this one!! i don't understand one thing i just read. oh, and now i see adamc's comment...i don't understand that either (was this a quiz?? if so, i failed horribly). A note for "zero": Maybe it was a puzzling concept for Ancient Greeks, but "zero" was well known by the Mayans in Meso-America, probably as early as 600 BCE. Good clip, by the way. Eric, this is actually not a quiz but a "test" or "game". Click the "5 Numbers quiz" link at BBC site. I was introduced to the Fibonacci series while reading the Da Vinci Code. Dab Brown used it in one of the puzzles that Robert Langdon must solve. I hadn't heard of it before and so I looked it up. My head is still spinning! It's one of those matematical things that cannot be explained in just one or two sentences. I don't know what to say but: e ^ (pi * i) + 1 = 0 This consequence of Euler's Equation involves the five most important constants in all of mathematics: 0, 1, i, pi, and e. I find this really interesting even though a lot of it goes over my head! I let it fly away! Great clip.My fav number is π. People may call you irrational, but that's only because they're jealous. You are talented and useful.. |
