One bit of a bright spot in this tragedy is that at least, with so much of the media focused elsewhere at the moment, they will have fewer of them clamoring all over their grief and suffering.

despair to acceptance after a tsunami on Monday killed at least
256 people on Java, the latest in a line of disasters to hit
the sprawling, developing nation in recent years.
